Welcome & About Me

Hi there!

You’ve stumbled upon my blog, welcome!

After a decade of working in communications, public relations, events and community management, I enrolled in the University of Michigan’s School of Information. I’ve spent the past two years delving deeper into topics related to communities, social connection, information-sharing, learning and media.

I will graduate this April (2012) with specializations in Community Informatics and Library and Information Science. I am excited to take what I’ve learned and put theory (back) into practice.

On this site, you’ll find:

  • Projects: Links to various work samples and projects from SI and beyond
  • We Learn in Public: (WLIP) A class-specific blog (for SI 643) exploring teaching, learning and professional practice in libraries
  • Why I Blog: A short description/reflection on the purpose of my writing on WLIP
  • Coursework: Listing of relevant SI classes, with links
